Dormer, born 11 February 1982 was an English actress. She has been awarded an
Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice
Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading,
Berkshire. She gained notoriety in the role of Anne Boleyn, a role she played
on the Showtime series The Tudors (2008), which received acclaim from the
public. Her stage debut was in the stage play Sweet Nothings (2010) and
portrayed the Duchess of York in Madonna's movie W.E. (2011), Private Lorraine
in Captain America The First Avenger (2011). The Young Vic praised her
performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer gained international attention
and accolades for her performance as Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series Game of
Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the final two segments of The Hunger Games
franchise (2014-2015), which rank as her top-grossing movies. Dormer also
voiced the character of Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018),
Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016), and Irene Adler/Moriarty in CBS's
Elementary (2013)-15. Her character in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels which was
a miniseries based on Penny Dreadful, was highly and highly acclaimed. Dormer
was born in Reading (Berkshire), England on February 11, 1982. She is the
daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards and Samantha Dormer.
