Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy was born on November 25, 1968. She is a Canadian actor, singer and musician. She is most known for her roles on the American television series Law & Order, on which she played the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons as well as Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also acted on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she also wrote and directed). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy her father was an executive in sales and marketing. This required frequent travel that led to numerous family moves. Maxine, her mother, was secretary. Her daughter was left behind by Eleanor, her paternal grandmother in Kitchener, Ontario. She has a younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is a magazine writer and TV show host in Canada. Hennessy's ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish, and Italian descendents from her father's and most Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She went to Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both of which are located in Kitchener, Ontario, and was busking on the Toronto subway. Hennessy was the sister of her brother who made their acting debut in 1988 as twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, has stated that she was shortlisted for The X-Files for Dana Scully's role. Hennessy also played the part of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993 Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to the role of Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney in the show Law & Order. She played the character for three seasons before leaving the show in 1996.
