Milena Markovna Kunis was the child of an Ukrainian Jewish family. She was born on August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi (now Ukraine) to a Ukrainian Jewish mother and father. Mark Kunis, her mechanical engineer father, is employed as taxi driver. Kunis is the older sister of, Michael. Her grandparents were Holocaust survivors. Russian is her mother tongue.
