Cecily Strong was born on February 8, 1984 in Springfield, Illinois, USA as Cecily Legler Strong. The school she graduated from was California Institute of Arts with a BFA in Theatre. Her father, Bill Strong, was the Associated Press bureau chief at the Illinois Statehouse.
