Kristin Landen Davis Bio

Kristin Landen Davis is an American Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-nominated actress, known for playing the role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City. Her early life and education Davis was born in Boulder, Colorado. Her parents divorced as a child and she was an only child. Her stepfather adopted her, University of South Carolina psychologist Keith Davis, after he got married to her mother Dorothy, a university data analyst in the year 1968. In her first marriage, she had three step-sisters. Early in her childhood, she and her parents relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, in which her adoptive father worked as the provost and also taught psychology at the University of South Carolina. Davis had always wanted to become an actress since age 10 when she was selected to perform in a local theatre production of Snow White and the Seven... She and her ex-boyfriend, Alec Baldwin, guest-starred on Will & Grace (1998) and Friends (1994), though not in the same episodes. Davis was invited to Sarah Jessica Parker’s 40th birthday party. Her first film audition was for the role of Sarah Tobias in The Accused (1988). The audition was rejected by Jonathan Kaplan and the part went to Jodie Foster. Two children adopted, Gemma Rose Davis and Wilson Davis. An ambassador for the charity Oxfam. Visited the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya in July 2011 in her role to be an Oxfam Ambassador. Kristin is the sole actor who has never been married. Her character Charlotte (1998) on "Sex and the City") was the first to marry.
